Itinerary
We meet our Tour Manager and our fellow travellers at London St Pancras where we join the Eurostar to Brussels. Travelling in style in spacious Eurostar Plus we enjoy a light meal at our seats as we glide through northern France and into Belgium. On arrival in Brussels, we change trains and travel by First Class rail to Cologne, where we spend a night.
Arriving around mid-afternoon, the rest of your day is free to explore the historic city nestled beside the glorious Rhine. Cologne's main attraction is its impressive Gothic cathedral with twin spires piercing the sky. Its historic squares are lined with charming buildings housing restaurants and bars. To enjoy a view of the city's skyline, you might like to join a riverboat cruise to see the sights from the Rhine River. This evening, we get to know one another over dinner at our central hotel.
Please Note - For departure 10/09/25 we will overnight at the Flemings Hotel Wuppertal in Wuppertal
For departure 08/10/25 we will overnight at Steigenberger Hotel Bielefelder Hof in Bielefeld.

Excellent holiday. Good accommodation. Interesting towns and varied scenery. Only spoiled by the problems with German railways.

Wonderful experience. Very well-organised. We got to see a lot of Germany in a short space of time. Visited some beautiful world heritage sites. There’s a lot of travel involved so if you want something a bit more relaxing you might want to avoid this tour. We had a great tour guide who was very professional the whole time. The group was a good size of around 25 people, all very nice. All in all I would definitely recommend but read the itinerary carefully before committing.

Wonderful guide in Steve Kimber after our last guide in the US. The trip was tiring, but everything coordinated perfectly. It was wonderful to revisit many of the places I had previously visited once more along the Rhine. The hotel downside is that the hotel in Wernigerode offered far better food choices than the one in Assmanshausen.
